Club Scrap March Technique Challenge

The technique challenge over at Club Scrap this month highlighted three different stamping techniques.  Roni Johnson had some great ideas to achieve faux watercolor techniques.  I chose to try the Stamping with Gelatos.

Crafty Colonel Donna Nuce, Club Scrap Bold Blooms Set, for Club Scrap Challenge

I used the Club Scrap Bold Bloom set from August 2012 to stamp these gorgeous poppies!  Stamping on watercolor paper with the Gelatos seems to work very if you use a very fine spray of water on the stamp. There are two other techniques highlighted at Club Scrap (with videos) for you to check out.

Club Scrap 50s Kitchen BlogHop

Good morning blog buddies!  Welcome to the Club Scrap 50s Kitchen bloghop.
If you arrived here from the Club Scrap Blog you are in the right place.  If you arrived here from somewhere else and would like to start at the beginning of the bloghop, go HERE to the Club Scrap blog

This month I subscribed to the Club Scrap Digital Kit, the Art Nouveau StampClub Stamp Kit,  Unmounted Borders and Backgrounds Stamp, Unmounted Greetings and the Embellishment Pack.

I get my digital kit on the first day of the month.  Here's a page I did using one of the Quick Drop Digital Layouts as an example but changing it up a little.

Yes, that's adorable me back in 1953.  Perfect picture for this kit.  I am so happy I sorted all my Dad's slides and paid to have a company digitize them for me.  We only did the slides with family members in them.  Dad took a lot of scenery slides too but we didn't do those.

After that page I played with my digital kit again and made some "twinchies" (2"x 2" mini cards) out of a 12x12 page.

After I had them printed I was not happy with the print.  It cut of some of the top, bottom, and sides of my 12 x 12 print so that some of the "Twinchies" were not 2" x 2"!  I cut them out and trimmed them a little and mounted them on some of the HPOP (Half Pound of Paper) in my order.  Here's what they look like finished.

I blingged this one up with stickles!

Don't you love the coffee pot in the digital package!

I tried for a chalk board effect on the My Kitchen twinchie.

Since I only received my Club Stamp Kit yesterday I didn't have time to make more than this one quick card.  Thank goodness I had those "twinchies" to help me out.

I used my Stampin'Up! dress and mannequin die to cut out the dress and apron.  The little red ribbon is in the embellishment kit.

Next up is Debbie Hernandez on her Masculine Inspirations blog.

Inspired By Stamping Release Week - Honey Bee!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Inspired By Stamping March Release!  I am so excited to share my card I made with the adorable Honey Bee Stamp Set.  This set is so versatile with all of its "Bee" sentiments.  I used the just the sweet honey bee stamp and the sentiment.

I sponged thru a stencil to get the  honeycomb background.  I popped the little bees up and added some yellow Stickles for sparkle.  Take a closer look at those sweet little bees!

Inspired By Stamping March Release Butterflies

Welcome to Day 1 of the Inspired By Stamping March release.  Today's stamp set is called Butterflies.  Today's card uses the Viva la Verve Sketch for March 13th and I CASEd some of my ideas from THIS CARD on my friend Ellen's blog.

Inspired by Stamping, Crafty Colonel, Butterflies stamp set, General Card

I love this color combo of Tattered Rose and Bundled Sage.  I really like how Ellen splattered her sentiment so I had some fun splattering mine.  Want to see more? CASE-ing Christmas Challenge

There's another challenge at CASE-ing Christmas.  What exactly is this challenge about?  We are a weekly challenge devoted to the holiday season--year round! ;)  How does this challenge work?  It's easy!  We give you a card to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) and you CASE it!

If you've never CASEd a card, here's what you need to do:
  1. Look at the CASE card photo.
  2. Be inspired by some element of the card.  This could be colors, layout, image, etc.
  3. Make a card based on that inspiration.
See!  Easy peasy!  We cannot wait to see what you have for us this week and each week this year!   Are you ready for the next CASE card?!  This card is by DT member Pat.

Here's my CASE of Pat's cute card.
I was inspired by her large gold snowflake and the combination of blue/red (which I changed to blue/pink).  I used the StampingUp! Festive Flurry stamp and die set.

So come and join us at CASE-ing Christmas.  One LAST thing--PLEASE make sure to check out our RULES before linking up.  There aren't many, but we do like those who follow them!

Inspired by Stamping Easter Basket

Good Morning.  Today I am over at the Inspired by Stamping blog with a quick way to make an Easter basket for your Easter eggs.  You can make this cute basket from 1 piece of 12x12 cardstock, 2 brads and a piece of ribbon for the handle.  Here's how to score, cut and stamp your cardstock.

Inspired by Stamping, Crafty Colonel, Spring Bouquet, 3D Easter Basket tutorial

Score your cardstock at 4" and 8", turn 90 degrees and score again at 4" and 8".  Cut into the cardstock on the score lines as shown in the picture.  Note how to position your stamps and decor.
Here's the results!

Inspired By Stamping Kids Card

G'Day to you!  Today I am over at the Inspired by Stamping Blog showing a CAS kid's card.  I am still in love with those Australian Bird Stamps.  And what could be funnier to a kid (especially boys) than a bird named "Kookaburro"?  So here's my idea for a boy's birthday.

Inspired by Stamping, Crafty Colonel, Australian Birds, Boy Birthday
Of course the Kookaburro had to be saying G'day from the Teeny Tiny Greetings Stamp set.  The Birthday Boy sentiment is from the Big Hello Stamp set.
